Ava escapes for a new life in Bluebell cottage with her new companion Merlin by her side。She upsticks from London in the hope of a new life and meets lots of villagers along the way。 She falls in love with Bluebell woods, the people and the community。 An easy and enjoyable read。

I have loved every one of Ali McNamara's books and she is one of those rare authors whose books I can safely dive into without even knowing the gist of the story。 Suffice to say, my experience of her gorgeous books assures me of a wonderful, heartwarming read every time。 This was another delightful story filled with love, goodness and hope。 All of the characters, (bar one), were the kind of neighbours we all wish we had and Bluebell Wood is the village we'd all love to live in。 Throw in a sweet I have loved every one of Ali McNamara's books and she is one of those rare authors whose books I can safely dive into without even knowing the gist of the story。 Suffice to say, my experience of her gorgeous books assures me of a wonderful, heartwarming read every time。 This was another delightful story filled with love, goodness and hope。 All of the characters, (bar one), were the kind of neighbours we all wish we had and Bluebell Wood is the village we'd all love to live in。 Throw in a sweet and loyal little rescue dog, a cute little boy on the autistic spectrum, a hunky vicar and a mystery to solve as well as Ali's usual sprinkling of magic and it's escapist heaven! With so much violence, hatred and offensive language on TV and in the media nowadays it was so refreshing to escape to this enchanting place where magic, romance and goodness reigns supreme。 I alsolutely adored this book and will recommend it to everyone in every place I can。 My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review。 。。。more

I've always loved a McNamara novel, and this one made no exception。Ava is seeking some peace and quite in a remote little village after a devasting experience that changes her life。 Bluebell village reveals to be exactly what she needed and with the help of gorgeous "hot" vicar Callum, the whole community, the ancient woods surrounding the area and some magical wildlife everything finally makes sense again。 Wonderful read! Another brilliant mystical book from the wonderful Ali McNamara。 For me I could really relate to the main characters experience as I too am fighting my own battle with anxiety。 Reading about Ava actually felt like it helped me with my journey。 I love the idea of nature assisting with the experience and just adored the whole concept。 It certainly kept me guessing right to the end and I loved the way it all tied together。 A pure heart warming story。

Well what a super book。 I am gradually reading all of her books as I love the slightly magical feel of them。 This one was fantastic。 I loved the characters Ava and Callum and also the little darling Robin。 Having a speial needs child myself it is lovely to read of a special bond here。 A lovely book of hope which has actually made me think about following certain paths in the future。 Thank you so much Netgalley for allowing me to read this one and thank you to Ali for an exceptional book。

Ali McNamara has done it again in this gift of a read, which I think is her best yet。 Ava’s high flying London life, is turned upside down by a trauma that she has only been able to share, in part, with her therapist。 Seeking peace and quiet she takes refuge in a rented cottage at the edge of Bluebell Wood。 With her rescue dog, Merlin, by her side, she finds herself being wrapped in the close knit community spirit。 Gradually she begins to heal and is able to restart her life, albeit in a differe Ali McNamara has done it again in this gift of a read, which I think is her best yet。 Ava’s high flying London life, is turned upside down by a trauma that she has only been able to share, in part, with her therapist。 Seeking peace and quiet she takes refuge in a rented cottage at the edge of Bluebell Wood。 With her rescue dog, Merlin, by her side, she finds herself being wrapped in the close knit community spirit。 Gradually she begins to heal and is able to restart her life, albeit in a different way。 I love books by this author, not only does she provide a great storyline, but creates loveable characters。 This is an enchanting, magical read that had me hooked from the beginning, pure escapism。 。。。more

What a beautiful book, and what a beautiful place to live。 I could easily imagine I was walking in the woods with Ava and Merlin, hearing the birds, seeing the bluebells and hearing the leaves rustle。 Beautiful descriptions。 I loved the friendships that developed throughout this book, each supporting the other, each accepting every one exactly how they are。 Callum and Ava are an amazing couple, I loved his laid back attitude and his fun with the bible。 Each of them have pain and darkness in thei What a beautiful book, and what a beautiful place to live。 I could easily imagine I was walking in the woods with Ava and Merlin, hearing the birds, seeing the bluebells and hearing the leaves rustle。 Beautiful descriptions。 I loved the friendships that developed throughout this book, each supporting the other, each accepting every one exactly how they are。 Callum and Ava are an amazing couple, I loved his laid back attitude and his fun with the bible。 Each of them have pain and darkness in their past, and they each chose a different path in dealing with it, but being their when those paths crossed was amazing。 I love the birds bringing gifts for Ava and the mystery that was slowly unraveled, an ingenious idea and I really loved it。 All the bird names was incredibly clever too。 。。。more

We know that something has happened to make Ava so afraid but Bluebell Wood, it’s nature, it’s location and it’s people are going to help her。A quirky, magical read which shows the power of loyalty over terrible things。

Hope and Happiness in Bluebell Wood is such a wonderfully calming and magical story。Ava moves to a tiny village from London to escape something awful that happened in her life。 We don’t find out what until later in the story, but it was obviously very traumatic, and left her with panic attacks and a fear of people。Ava soon settles into village life with her rescue dog Merlin, and she changes beyond belief。 She feeds the birds, spends time reading and learning, starts to bake and slowly starts to Hope and Happiness in Bluebell Wood is such a wonderfully calming and magical story。Ava moves to a tiny village from London to escape something awful that happened in her life。 We don’t find out what until later in the story, but it was obviously very traumatic, and left her with panic attacks and a fear of people。Ava soon settles into village life with her rescue dog Merlin, and she changes beyond belief。 She feeds the birds, spends time reading and learning, starts to bake and slowly starts to socialise and trust again。 A far cry from her hectic life in London。As with all Ali McNamara stories there’s a little bit of magic at stake too which makes me feel almost childlike。 Like many old villages, life revolves around the church and aspects of the Bible and Christianity play a part in this story。 This is not done in a preachy way by any means, but it all ties in with the historical and folklore aspects of the story。 It was so interesting and makes you realise what a tiny part we play in the universe。I loved this story and isn’t the cover gorgeous too。 A thoroughly enchanting book。 。。。more
